Neuropsychological expertise is often requested for legal cases. Such cases include determining mental capacity to make medical or financial decisions or assessing the extent and severity of brain injuries suffered as the result of an accident in the car, at work, or in other circumstances.

Sports Related

Concussion and head injury is a growing concern for many individuals involved in sports activities. Neuropsychological assessment is often an important tool in evaluating sports-related head injuries and assisting with return-to-play and return-to-learn decision making recommendations.

Aging and Memory Loss

Happy Couple

A significant concern for many older adults is declining memory. Cognitive evaluations may be helpful in determining whether an older adult has dementia, mild cognitive impairment, or is simply showing signs of normal aging. Such an evaluation may be valuable not just for differential diagnosis, but also for treatment and life care planning.
